Grief takes a physical toll on your body, not just an emotional toll on your heart. It’s impossible to heal after loss if you are only focusing on your emotional well-being.

Because your emotional health and physical health are intrinsically linked, a holistic approach after loss is essential to getting through the hardest emotional seasons in your life.

Supplement are a key component to building a healing foundation.

I recommend multiple supplements to my clients for a season of grief, but these 3 are what I consider the essentials. If I had to take only 3 supplements, these would be the ones.

1. Adrenal Jump Start Phyto Liquicaps from Gaia Herbs: This supplement helped me recover from adrenal exhaustion. Your adrenals become overburdened during a season of grief and depending how long you’ve been in grief-survival mode will depend on how taxed your adrenals become. Healing your adrenals is a necessary first step to healing your broken heart. I can’t even explain how much better I felt within just a week of taking this supplement. I followed the instructions and only used it for 8 weeks. After eight weeks, I was a new person. Then I used Adrenal Support Phyto Liquicaps from Gaia Herbs after I finished the Jump Start Phyto Liquicaps to maintain my adrenal health.

2. Gaia Ashwagandha Phyto Liquicaps: Ashwagandha is an adaptogen herb that supports overall emotional and physical well-being. It helps to restore homeostasis in the body and build resilience to stress. I take it before bed every night and I sleep like a rock. For me it creates a still, deep sleep. I also take it in the morning too when I’m traveling, working a lot, after hot yoga, or am being taxed emotionally and physically by life more than usual.

3. Max Stress B Liquid from Quantum Premier Research Labs: Stress depletes b-vitamins in the body. A lack of b-vitamins, especially B12, contributes to exhaustion, a weak immune response, adrenal fatigue, and hormone imbalance. This b-complex is cultured so the vitamins are bioavailable and it is particularly high in B12, a vitamin difficult to acquire through food. I feel an instant energy boost when I take it and an overall feeling of well-being when I use it regularly. I also like that it is a liquid because sometimes I just don’t feel like swallowing one more capsule.
